NMRCC, formerly know as WRCC (Whitehaven Radio Control Club), is like so many RC Flying Clubs in having experienced several moves over the years.
A couple of years ago, growth in Desoto County caught up with us. The Club had operated on Craft Road for around 16 years but a housing development and I-69 plans indicated it was time to move again.
After months of searching for a new field, a lease was obtained that should serve us well for years to come. March 2006 we got started with building a new grass runway and safety barriers in what was once a field for growing various crops.
Now, a years later with a lot of hard work by club members, we have a nice field to enjoy the sport of RC Flying.
Our members fly anything from Electric Foamies to Giant Scale 40%, Gliders, Electric Ducted Fan Jets, Trainers, Aerobatics, & 3D are all flown here.
Along with the move, it was time to change the club name.
Since it had been over 20 years since the club started in the Memphis Whitehaven area and now being located so far away from the Memphis area, we decided to chang the name to North MS RC Club.
Come out and visit us and bring your airplane and AMA Card.
